Below is a more detailed report about Mercy's accident.

Beloved of God,

Yesterday, just before noon, Mrs. Mercy Kigame left for Nairobi. This was after the Fish Fm crew and those around the WTM station gathered around their car and prayed for safe journey. Mr. Kigame led this prayers and they were waved off. She was accompanied by a lady, Maywood, a friend of the ministry plus two other lady passengers whom she picked on the way.   Shema, their last born two and a half year old daughter was scheduled for an eye operation in Nairobi for today the 6th Sept.

Around 3pm Mercy Kigame was involved in a bad road accident. She was approaching Kabarak University when a lorry from the opposite direction suddenly started crossing the road coming over into Mercy's lane. Mercy braked and swerved but it was too close. She rammed into the rear of the lorry, (in the rear tyre).  The impact was heavy. She sustained serious injuries. Another vehicle which was behind the lorry also rammed into Mercy's car, knocking her heavily from the driver's side.

Mercy sustained serious injuries. A number of her ribs were broken. Her lungs collapsed and she bled heavily.  They pulled her out of the wreckage and rushed her to Valley Hospital in Nakuru. The doctors tried very hard to save her life but it was too hard to control the excessive bleeding. One of the ribs pierced into her liver. With all the efforts to resuscitate her, Mercy passed on to be with the Lord around 6.30 pm.

Mr. Kigame was informed around 4pm and he immediately set off in the company of Fish FM chairman, Mr Busienei and his assistant Levy Kones.   They arrived in Nakuru just before 7pm and learnt that Mercy had passed on to be with the Lord. Her body is still at that hospital in Nakuru.

Shema was unharmed. The other three`passengers were treated and discharged. Mercy leaves behind her husband Reuben Kigame, daughters Shalom, Shekina and Shema. Shalom is a class eight candidate.

Only on saturday 2nd Sept. She had worked very hard at the launch of Fish Fm the new Christaian Radio station in Eldoret of which Mr. Kigame is the Managing Director

Please let us stand with Kigame's family in prayer and support at this

trying time.

God bless you.
