Sifa is Swahili for praise and this Web site is dedicated to praising God. Sifagospel.com started after the release of the Swahili gospel CD "Mawazo Ya Tumaini," produced by Reuben Kigame. Mawazo Ya Tumaini means Thoughts of Hope and is inspired by the words in Jeremiah 29:11-13.
Alongside the lead singer Grace Namwamba, the CD features talented artists John Bosco Namwamba, Lydia Njeri, and Dorothy Odera.
Sifagospel.com is a companion Web site to the CD and it focuses on African gospel music. This site will feature various African gospel musicians and current information on the African gospel music scene.
